PE

In PE, we develop physical skills here and now, building on techniques learned then, to prepare for a healthy, active life next, fostering teamwork, resilience, and well-being.

We use the ‘Complete PE’ resource to ensure every teacher is equipped with the knowledge and tools to confidently enjoy delivering high quality Physical Education. Units of work are mapped out over a two year rolling programme, covering all aspects of the PE National Curriculum in a progressive, sequential order from EYFS to Year 6.

Schools have a fundamental role to play in ensuring that children take part in physical activity for at least 60 minutes per day, every day of the week. These activities should make young people breathe faster and will help develop movement skills and increase muscle and bone strength. Structured playtime activities, workshops, clubs, sports competitions and visits and visitors all support our commitment to and recognition of the importance of being active
